Sugar Delivery
WE DID IT - GIMME SOME SUGAR – COLLECTION DRIVE FOR RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY SERVICES COLLECTED 2,712 LBS OF SUGAR (YES, THIS WAS MORE THAN LAST YEAR!!!!) AND DONATED OVER $700. Many thanks to Mack P., our Service Projects Chair, for organizing this year's drive and to all the Civitans and community members who donated sugar or money to RCS. The delivery was made on June 6 and the manager of the RCS soup kitchen/food pantry told us that this amount of sugar would last from 4-6 months! Don't forget to thank the following businesses which donated 50 lb bags of sugar to our collection drive: The Village Butcher, Arturo's, Chik-Fil-A, The Chelsea, Captain Ratty's, Carolina Bagel, and The Country Biscuit. As always, many thanks to the UPS Store for being our drop off location – thanks, Pat and Mack! WAY TO GO, TRYON CIVITANS!!!!
