Tryon Civitans donate money and time to help create successful local and state Special Olympic events.

• Our members assist all year long with various local Special Olympic events

  • Bowling

  • Basketball

  • Swimming

  • Bocce

• During the Spring Track and Field Event (usually held in May) our members volunteer in many ways

  • Set up events

  • Clean out and set up concession stand

  • Hand out medals to athletes

  • Cheer athletes and give out many hugs

• Helping Special Olympics financially, Tryon Civitans…

  • Donate directly to NC Special Olympics.

  • Donate directly to Craven County Special Olympics.

  • Help sponsor Craven’s Got Talent (fundraiser for SO) along with New Bern Civitan.

  • Assist Knights of Columbus with a Spaghetti Dinner in October. Proceeds go to Craven County Special Olympics.
